Sometimes it is so hard to take our eye off of what we want, and turn our attention to helping other people get what they want. I’m sure there are some greedy people out there that couldn’t care less about anyone else, but I have to believe that most of us really do care about others and want to help.
If you listen to some of the most successful people they will tell you that you should want it more for the other person than you want it for yourself. That might be hard to do, but heck we can try.
There is something magical that happens when we give. The Universe always gives back; and usually we get more than we gave in return.
If you are like many struggling network marketers and you are not having the success that you desire and deserve, you need to keep reading.
Here are some questions you might want to ask yourself.
What are you offering that will help solve other people’s problems?
How much value are you providing to people?
Why should people come to you?
Now you might be saying, I provide great products to people and I change lives by offering a business opportunity that helps people earn incredible amounts of money working from home.
Is that providing value??? You bet it is. But is it enough? In the long run, yes it probably is. However, the problem is what you see and what your prospect sees can be two totally different things.
So you are sitting there pitching your prospect, beaming with excitement, knowing that if they just jump in and take action that their life will never be the same. That sounds like a lot of value to me…. It’s probably life changing value.
But think about what your prospect might be seeing. Sales, Sales, Sales. What are you trying to sell me here? How much are you going to make from this sale? All you probably care about is your commission.
Well, maybe that is a little extreme, but they are probably not seeing the real value that you are presenting.
Remember that you are trying to attract people into your business that may not currently be able to see themselves being successful. If they can’t dream or see the vision, all they can smell is commission breath.
If you want to recruit more people and do it with less effort, try providing value (tons of value) before you pitch your products or your opportunity.
This might be the secret you are searching for.
So many people in the network marketing or the direct sales industry are missing this very important piece of the puzzle. If this is you, let me first say that it is probably not your fault. The people that you are learning from probably haven’t discovered this for themselves.
This reminds me of one of my friends and business partner Jordan Siegel, who is the best Internet Lifestyle Network sponsor. We are partners in a company and belong to a tight nit Facebook group with our fellow team members.
Jordan has nothing to gain financially by helping people in this group. They are already involved in the company. Every time someone asks a question and needs help, Jordan is not only the first person to answer them, he actually seeks people out who need help.
He spends hours of his time helping people and doesn’t get paid a dime. Why does he do this? My guess is that he is committed to providing value to others. You think he’ll get paid back in the long run?
If you are not currently running your business using this model you probably either haven’t discovered it or you don’t know how to do it.
